NCGA Weekend Net Tour
One-Day Tournaments for Men & Women Golfers of All Skill Levels
Want to compete in an NCGA tournament but don’t have two or three days where you can get away? Want to compete against players of the same skill level, or with a friend or significant other? The NCGA Weekend Net Tour is for golfers like you!
- This series of one-day, weekend-only competitions are hosted at some of the finest golf courses across Northern California. All events are on Saturdays or Sunday mornings, and consist of both individual and team competitions with a wide range of formats, including Individual Net, Four-Ball Net, Stableford and Chicago points, Two-Person Scramble, and optional skins games.
- Tournaments are flighted by handicap to ensure golfers of all abilities will be able to enjoy the competition and have the opportunity to win prizes and merchandise. We have a Handicap Review process to promote fair play.
- A season-long points system allows golfers to earn entry into the Weekend Net Tour Championship, a two-day event normally held in the Pebble Beach area in December.
- There are registration opening 'windows':
Registration for events held February - May opens January 15.
Registration for events held June - August opens April 15.
Registration for events held September - December opens July 15.

Tournament FAQs
-
How do I ensure I get paired with my friend or family member?
Beginning in 2022, select your tee time software will be used for all events. Make sure that you follow instructions on how to select your tee time, which will be sent out by staff shortly after registration is closed. Pairings requests and distance from the facility will be considered for players who fail to select their tee times, however, WNT staff WILL NOT rearrange pairings to meet an individual’s requests for failing to use the select your tee time software. In the event that select your tee time software is not used, we will accommodate your request to the best of our ability using Google surveys sent out shortly after registration closes–to further ensure that you are paired with those people, you will want to ask them to do the same. (Please note if you write down someone’s name, who does not have your name in that same field and instead has other players’ names, you may not be paired with that person. Additionally, please note that a friend or family member who has been added to the event after pairings have been released, in most circumstances, we will not be able to re-arrange pairings/teams to accommodate that original request).
-
How are tee times determined when it comes to tee time requests?
Beginning in 2022, all players will have the ability to select their tee time. Soon after the registration deadline closes, the WNT staff will notify all players when tee time registration is available. Players will then be able to select their tee time on a first-come, first-serve basis. For players who fail to select a tee time, WNT staff will assign that player a tee time. Pairings requests and distance from the facility will be considered for players who fail to select their tee times, however, WNT staff WILL NOT rearrange pairings to meet an individual’s requests for failing to use the select your tee time software. In the event that tee time registration is not used, WNT staff will take in factors such as distance to travel and other exceptional circumstances to try and accommodate those players first. (Please note that tee time requests for players added to the event off the waitlist after pairings have been released will have no bearing.)
-
I have been put on the waitlist, when will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will not be charged until confirmed into the event.
-
I have been put on the waitlist, when will I be notified if I have been confirmed into the event?
If a spot becomes available for you prior to the entry deadline, we will automatically add you to the event; your credit card will be charged and a confirmation email will be sent to you. If a spot becomes available for your after the entry deadline, we will contact you by phone or email to confirm you are still interested in playing before confirming you into the event.
-
I am registered for an event, however, my friend who signed up after me was waitlisted. I only want to play if my friend can play with me. What are my options?
Your best option is not to cancel for the event and wait until right before the entry deadline to see if your friend gets confirmed into the event. If he/she does not get confirmed into the event by the entry deadline, you may cancel at that time for the $10 processing fee. (Please note that if you do decide to remain in the event and your friend subsequently gets into the event from off the waitlist, and pairings have already been released, in most circumstances, we will not be able to re-arrange pairings/teams to accommodate that original request.)
-
Are spectators allowed at WNT events?
Yes, spectators are welcome at WNT events. However, spectator carts are not allowed, and spectators are expected to walk if they are to come and follow a group. A spectator who rents or brings a cart, will be notified by an NCGA official that the cart is not allowed and will be asked to return the cart immediately. If a spectator rides with a player, due to a cart seat becoming available, or by choosing to drive/ride while the player walks, the spectator then becomes a caddie, and is responsible for any rules infractions that may come about for that player (see question below). Walking spectator(s) should keep a fair and comfortable distance from the group they are following. This means, not walking on the greens or on tees, and staying out of the fairway when possible, and instead walking near or on the cart path.
-
Are caddies allowed at WNT events?
Yes, caddies are allowed at WNT events, however riding caddies may not be allowed due to the WNT’s two-cart per group policy. Caddies are responsible for any rules infractions that may occur for the player he/she is caddieing for. The Rules of Golf have specific rules for caddies, see Rule 10.3. It is the player’s responsibility to make sure his/her caddie knows the rules.
-
What is the WNT cancellation policy?
After a player has signed up, he/she may cancel from the event at any time prior to the registration deadline for a processing fee of $10. Players will need to cancel through their registration account, or if not possible email the WNT staff-in-charge. Immediately following the registration deadline, the cancellation fee increases to $25 for a three-day period. Any cancellation after the second deadline is subject to a loss of all funds, unless a replacement can be filled from the waiting list at the cancellation cost of $25.

I played in a Weekend Net Tour event and placed in my flight (and/or won a skin). How and when do I receive my winnings?
Players will be paid out awards by Amazon.com gift cards. These are done in batches, approximately once a month. Please allow up to 4 weeks after the event to receive an Amazon.com gift card via email.
