San Jose CC

Established in 1899, the San Jose Country Club is the fourth oldest golf club in Northern California. The course is truly unique to the Bay Area. Tom Nicoll, a Scottish-born professional and the club’s first head pro, designed it in 1912. The Club is a founding member of the NCGA and has turned out many champions through the years including Ken Venturi and Roger Maltbie.

Palo Alto Hills CC

Stepping onto the first tee will take your breath away with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay to your right and the rolling hills of Palo Alto and the Arastradero Wild Life Preserve to your left. The par 72, 18 hole course is immersed in this unique and beautiful setting which makes for an unforgettable round of golf for Members and Guests.

Nicklaus Club

The only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course on the famed Monterey Peninsula, Nicklaus Club – Monterey is an extraordinary piece of golf architecture from the game’s consummate designer of the modern era. A captivating journey through ancient oaks, dramatic hills and scenic valleys, the course is a blend of intrinsic Nicklaus shot value and strategy within its secluded, natural surroundings. Native grasses and free-flowing bunkers accent the par 71, which subtly adapts to distinctive elevation changes for a thoroughly entertaining golfing experience.

Butte Creek CC

This little known club in the north state is fresh off a makeover in 2007, and the golf course is in better shape than ever. With the overhaul came better bunkers and greens along with stone walls and bridges which were added to give the course more character.  From the tips the par 72 course plays 7,000 with a rating of 72.9/133.

Edgewood Tahoe GC

Bring a guest and test your skills on the course the celebrities play. Host of the American Century Celebrity Championship, the Edgewood Tahoe course runs along Lake Tahoe and offers breathtaking views of both mountain and sea. Discount hotel nights are available by contacting

Schaffer’s Mill Club

The outward or “Meadow” nine ambles through firs, spruce and Ponderosas at the base of a ridge, while the inward “Mountain” nine showcases elevation changes of up to 400 feet, with magnificent 360° views of the Martis Valley, Lookout Mountain and the Carson Range. The par 71 course plays to over 7,000 yards and is considered by many as the finest golf course in the Tahoe and Truckee area.

Catta Verdera CC

Catta Verdera Country Club is nestled among the rolling hills and woodlands of Lincoln, California and offers one of the finest tests of golf. To retain the area’s natural beauty, the course has been “coaxed” from a stunning 335 acre valley, complete with gentle streams, natural oaks, buckeyes, Ponderosa pines and granite outcroppings. By enhancing the natural lay of the land, Catta Verdera is as visually captivating as it is challenging. Designed by Richard Phelps, Catta Verdera boasts not only spectacular natural beauty, but also provides the golfer with tremendous challenge. A poor shot is penalized while a well-executed shot is rewarded, and a well played round will be memorable indeed.

Diablo CC

Originally designed by Jack Neville and William Watson, these men went from Diablo to projects creating Pebble Beach Golf Links and the courses at the Olympic Club. The design, like most pre-WW1 courses, showcases well-bunkered, small greens and fairways lined with majestic Oak trees, whose ages are measured in hundreds of years. The course also features stunning countryside, including the Las Trampas Range and spectacular vistas of Mt. Diablo. Playing at a par 71, the course offers the Macdonald Smith Championship tee measuring 6,766 yards, a 73.8 rating and slope of 139. Diablo has served as host to Professional Exhibitions, the Northern California Open Championship, USGA Amateur Championship qualifiers and US Senior Open qualifiers.

Pasatiempo GC

Course architect Alister MacKenzie touted this layout as his favorite, even above Augusta National and Cypress Point Club. It is ranked in the top 3 of “Best courses you can play in California” by Golf Digest and offers beautiful views of both the Pacific Ocean and Santa Cruz mountains.

Sonoma GC

At its heart, Sonoma GC is a treasured “core golf” experience set on 177 acres of rolling terrain highlighted by massive oaks, lakes and sweeping vistas of the Mayacamas Mountains and neighboring vineyards. You’re sure to appreciate how the balance and blend of long and short holes creates a perfect rhythm as you move through the round. Considered a fair but formidable test, unique challenges help keep you focused on the task at hand. We believe you’ll particularly enjoy the distinctive set of Par 3’s that offer a great diversity of aesthetic beauty and personal challenge.

Ruby Hill GC

Iconic player-designer Jack Nicklaus chose this pristine swath of terrain as the site of his first Northern California golf course, etching one of his most imaginative championship layouts ever into the Livermore Valley amidst more than 53 picturesque vineyards. Towering oaks frame all-weather Bermuda grass fairways and Nicklaus’ signature wide, contoured Crenshaw bent grass greens, with numerous elevation changes, breathtaking vistas and magnificent water features creating both strategic diversity and a stunning backdrop for golf.  Five sets of tees on each hole enable golfers of all ages and abilities to enjoy this adventurous par-72 test of golf, which measures 7,400 yards from the Nicklaus tees.

Moraga CC

Moraga CC is recognized as  “Distinguished Club” thanks to its attention to satisfying the needs of both members and guests alike. The Robert Muir Graves designed course offers sweeping views of the hilly landscape around it, and elevation changes factor throughout the course. This is one course that has not been on our schedule before, so take advantage and sign up!

Lake Merced

Lake Merced is continually a favorite among Outings each year, and fills up very quickly for good reason. Considered one of the greatest layouts in California, the course has had alterations done by both MacKenzie and Rees Jones. Located in the heart of San Francisco, Lake Merced GC will be one of the most enjoyable golf experiences you have ever had.
