The inaugural TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational is set to tee off Nov. 19-22 at The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill and host Pebble Beach Golf Links. The unique event features members of the PGA, LPGA, Champions and Web.com Tours competing side-by-side for the same purse.
Former two-time NCGA Player of the Year Ben Geyer hasn’t had nearly the 2015 season he wanted to. But he’s showing signs that the tide is turning. This past weekend he finished T-2 on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada.
Hao Tong Li became the first Chinese player to hold either PGA Tour or Web.com Tour status when he joined the Web.com Tour this year. At No.45 on the money list, Li has a shot at earning PGA Tour playing privileges. The 19-year-old will be in Hayward next week for the Stonebrae Classic.
Stanford alum Patrick Rodgers got going this past weekend with a win at the Web.com Tour Colombia Championship. The victory pushed Rodgers to No.1 on the Web.com Tour money list two weeks into the season.
St. Mary’s alum Ben Geyer finished T-21 at the Web.com Tour Q-School Finals to earn playing privileges in 2015. Also earning his card was Stanford alum Cameron Wilson, who finished T-28.
Tony Finau is headed to the PGA Tour. The big-hitting Web.com Tour rookie’s win at the Stonebrae Classic bumped him to No.8 on the money list with three events left in the season.
The 2014 Web.com Tour season schedule is out, and the Stonebrae Classic is back. Bay Area fans also can look forward to LPGA and PGA tours events in Northern California this year.
