NorCal’s McNealy, Morikawa Named to 2017 Palmer Cup Squad

Stanford’s Maverick McNealy and Cal’s Collin Morikawa will represent the U.S. at this year’s Palmer Cup.
Maverick McNealy of Stanford and Carr Vernon of CSU-Monterey Bay helped the U.S. win the Palmer Cup on Sunday. McNealy recently won the Haskins Award for collegiate player of the year. Vernon is the first CSUMB player ever selected to compete on a USA national team.
Stanford sophomore Maverick McNealy and CSU-Monterey Bay junior Carr Vernon were named to this year’s Team USA Palmer Cup squad. The Palmer Cup, to be held in June, is a Ryder Cup-style match pitting U.S. collegians versus players from Great Britain and Ireland.
Cal’s Brandon Hagy and Stanford’s Cameron Wilson will play for Team USA in June’s Palmer Cup at Walton Heath Golf Club outside of London. Wilson is leading a streaking Stanford team.
