The NCGA became the only golf association to own and operate two courses when it opened Poppy Ridge in 1996. The Livermore Valley 27-hole facility is easily accessible to more than half of the the NCGA’s 150,000-plus members who live within a 65-mile radius. The Rees Jones design sends three nines — Merlot, Chardonnay and Zinfandel — through the rolling hills of Livermore Wine Country. Each nine offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding vineyards, and wraps around impressive bunkers and pretty ponds.
Poppy Ridge was featured in the 2013 Summer issue of NCGA Golf magazine.
