NEW: NCGA Club Ambassador Program!

Just as your club has a Handicap Chairperson or Tournament Chair, NCGA Club Ambassadors are the main contacts for all things NCGA Membership, Marketing and Communications.

  • Belong to a community of engaged Club Ambassadors looking to grow and retain members, along with acting as a conduit between the NCGA and club members.
  • Attend quarterly NCGA Club Ambassador Meetings, both online and in-person, where the NCGA will discuss topics regarding membership and marketing, aimed to help you engage club members.
  • Access to NCGA provided marketing materials (printed materials, email templates and social media assets) that can be branded with your club name, logo, contact information, etc.
  • Be recognized by members of your club and golfers throughout the region as a pillar of the NCGA community – Club Ambassadors receive exclusive event invites, thank you gifts and more!

NCGA Club Ambassadors are passionate golfers from around the region who have a committed interest in the well being of their club, as well as the NCGA community as a whole.

The person that your club nominates as NCGA Club Ambassador does not need to be a current NCGA Club Officer – though in some cases they may be. Instead, try to think of someone who has access to your Club board and committees, as well as access to your Club membership. Ambassadors are updated on a regular basis on all NCGA activities to ensure Member Clubs receive full benefits of NCGA membership services. We ask that in turn, the Ambassadors keep club members, officers, and staff up-to-date on any important material that is sent. The Ambassadors also provide a wealth of information for the association and have an important role as a communicator and supporter of the NCGA.

NCGA Club Ambassadors are asked to:

  • Serve as the communication liaison between the NCGA and the Club.
  • Attend two (2) face-to-face meetings per year (Q2, Q4)
  • Attend two (2) webinars per year (Q1, Q3)
  • Complete periodically surveys to let the NCGA know how we can better serve your club and your membership

NOTE: NCGA Club Ambassadors are not required to attend all meetings or training sessions themselves, but should keep other Club Officers/golf course staff up to date on important news, meetings, and events.

Reminder: Changes to Handicap and Club Roster Management
Several important changes have been deployed by the USGA and the NCGA to support the new World Handicap System. In addition to changing the way handicaps are calculated, a new online system must be used for club leaders to update their member rosters.  We encourage you, or the individual in your club who manages your club roster, to view the webinar recordings below for important updates on both the World Handicap System and new NCGA MMS powered by memberplanet.
