Cypress Point Club will host the 2025 Walker Cup Matches. The last time the mystical course hosted the event was in 1981, the only previous time a USGA event has been held on the Alister MacKenzie designed masterpiece.
The NCGA’s Poppy Hills has been named a finalist for National Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Owner’s Association. In 2015, Poppy Hills was named Course of the Year by the California Golf Course Owner’s Association.

Women’s golf pioneer Peggy Kirk Bell, who received the USGA’s Bob Jones Award in 1990 for distinguished sportsmanship and service to the game, died at the age of 95.
Stroud served on the USGA Executive Committee from 1977 to 1979 and is also a former member of the NCGA Board of Directors.
