NAPA – Mario Perez repeated as Senior Series Player of the Year for the Senior Division edging out Carl Thoreson by 117 points. Perez’s 1-over net 73 at Silverado Resort’s South Course was good enough for solo second and was just enough to outlast Thoreson who posted the low score in the senior division with an even-par net 72. Perez started the day atop the Player of the Year list and remained there, while Thoreson jumped from fifth to second.
In the Super Senior division, despite a less than stellar day on the golf course, finishing tied for 16th with a net 87, Paul Agriesti came out on top as Senior Series Player of the Year for the Super Senior division. Agriesti was able to hold on thanks in large part to the last man in the field, Bob Dyer, posting the low score among Super Seniors with a 2-over par 74.
