AT&T Pro-Am Fans Will Have Array of Viewing Venues
January 14, 2020
While the world’s best golfers and a star-studded lineup of sports and entertainment personalities annually offer on-course intrigue at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, tournament organizers continue to unveil new ways to further entertain spectators. Debuting at the 2020 event, scheduled Feb. 3-9 on the Monterey Peninsula, is “The Turn” – a lounge overlooking the 10th green at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Carmel Beach.
A leisurely stroll along the front nine holes leads ticketholders to a stunning location as the Pacific Ocean’s waves crash below. At “The Turn”, spectators can relax by firepits on the open-air deck, select from a menu of food options, and purchase beer, wine, and cocktails, including a specialty s’mores cocoa drink.
The Turn, plus several other venues and special charity events, are open to event ticketholders. Single-day grounds access tickets during the four tournament rounds are priced from $60 per person if purchased prior to Feb. 4. Children 15 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
Other fan-friendly venues that general admission ticketholders can visit include:
- Triangle Plaza. Between holes 6, 8, and 14 on the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Triangle Plaza is home to Club Patrón, open to those 21 and over. Bartenders will be serving the Patrón Perfect Margarita, Patrón Paloma, Patrón Mule, and more. Nearby at the Meiomi Flavor Forward lounge, guests will be able to enjoy a glass of Meiomi Wine, the official wine of the PGA TOUR.
- The AT&T Loft. Also located at Triangle Plaza, this new, two-story lounge promises to lift the live golf experience to new heights. The AT&T Loft offers panoramic views of the course, along with cutting-edge technology and games to enjoy inside.
- Patriots OutpostActive duty, reserve, retired military, veterans, and National Guard are invited to the Patriots Outpost, located along the 15th fairway at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Military personnel with ID will receive a 50 percent food discount, which can be redeemed at a nearby concession stand.
- Chevron Fan Energy HQ. Also located along the 15th fairway, spectators of all ages are invited to stop in to play high-tech games, put their golf knowledge to the test with a Fan Exam, win prizes, learn their “fan type,” and see how their energy stacks up against the competition.
Spectator comfort is a prime focus as the 2020 tournament marks the debut of comfortable grandstand seating featuring theater-style, tip-up seats with backrests at all 8 public grandstand locations. Mastercard holders who show their card at the grandstand on #8 green will have access to ‘the best seats in the house’ a reserved section of the first to rows of seats.
Gourmet food trucks will delight fans at Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Ticketholders who watch the action on the MPCC course Thursday through Saturday can visit the trucks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two complimentary trolleys will circle the course to help shuttle spectators to their favorite hole; the daily pairings guide will disclose food truck and trolley stop locations.
This year’s star-studded list of PGA Tour competitors is led by defending champion and five-time event champion Phil Mickelson (1998, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2019), plus former winners Dustin Johnson (2009, 2010) and Brandt Snedeker (2013, 2015). The participating celebrities again includes an array of popular actors, musicians, comedians, and NFL stars. The current field can be viewed at www.attpbgolf.com/players.
The 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be held on Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Practice rounds are scheduled for Monday-Wednesday (Feb. 3-5) with the four official tournament rounds set for Thursday-Sunday (Feb. 6-9).
