E-Club East Bay got hot and came back to take the title. The E-Club Easy Bay squad, made up of teammates Carl Thoreson, Matthew Peake and the father-son duo of Joshua and Corey Eagle, posted a 19-under 125 Tuesday at Spyglass Hill to win the championship by eight strokes over runner-up IBEW 595 and Friends.
In Monday’s opener, E-Club Easy Bay shot 126 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
IBEW 595 and Friends, made up of teammates Mark Heverly, David Nelson, Damian Adamson and Joe Boragno, shot a second-round 129 to finish at 259.

Monday’s first round at par-72 Spyglass Hill saw San Jose MAGA (Mexican-American Golf Association) take the lead with a opening day score of 19-under 125. The team of Rolando Alvarado, Roberto Ahumada, Peter Garza and Michael Silva shot 61-64 in a format that takes the two best net-scores of a four-person team.
In second place at 126 are the teams of E-Club Easy Bay and Silicon Divoteer Hackers GC. Tuesday’s final round will also be held at Spyglass Hill.
