Board of Directors Nominations
The Northern California Golf Association is seeking qualified candidates to serve on its Board of Directors.
This is a tremendous opportunity for experienced individuals who have a passion for the game of golf to serve the members, clubs and the NCGA organization.
Like most boards, it is the role of the Board to steer the organization toward a sustainable future by ensuring: 1) sound, ethical, and legal governance, 2) financial management policies, and 3) adequate resources to advance the mission.
The Board provides Foresight, Oversight and Insight to the NCGA management to uphold and deliver the Mission, Values, and Goals of the organization. It is the responsibility of the NCGA management to carry out the day to day operations of the Association in addition to implementing the strategic goals approved by the Board.
The Board meets five to six times per year. Additionally, Board members serve on various standing and ad hoc committees, support the NCGA tournament program through volunteering, and are sometimes expected to represent the Association by serving on the committees responsible for conducting NCGA, USGA and California Amateur qualifying and championship tournaments.
