Montana resident Mark Mance and 2017 California Senior Amateur champ Mark Morgan, both amateurs, punched their tickets to this year’s U.S. Senior Open after advancing through Monday’s 18-hole qualifier at The Olympic Club.
Playing the Lake Course, both Mance and Morgan carded rounds of 1-over 72. They’d defeat professional Perry Parker, who also shot 72, in a playoff. Parker is the first alternate. The second alternate spot went to pro Eric Evans of Claremont (73).
This year’s U.S. Senior Open will tee off June 27-30 at The Warran Golf Course at Notre Dame in Indiana.
