Sharon Heights GC Member Has Two Aces Same Round
Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club member Marty Putnam pulled off a rare feat last Saturday.
Putnam aced the 13th hole and the 17th hole in the same round on his home course. According to the National Hole-In-One Registry, the odds of a player making two aces in the same round is a staggering 67 million to one. Putnam’s playing companions and witnesses were Bob Eng and Jim Koshland. He’d ace the 157-yard 13th hole with a 5 -iron and four holes later aced the 132-yard 17th hole with a 7 -iron.
According to Sharon Heights GC staff, Putnam is the first player to ever achieve the feat at Sharon Heights.
