Pros Corey Pereira and Dakota Robinson led the way at Thursday’s U.S. Open local qualifier at Granite Bay GC, with both posting co-medalist earning scores of 3-under 68,
Pereira, a former star at the University of Washington, won the 2014 Pacific Coast Amateur.
Finishing in third at 69 was Japan amateur Taiga Fujii.
Also moving on to Sectional qualifying were pros Derek Zachman of Rocklin and Andy Miller of Napa (70). Miller is the son of Hall of Famer Johnny Miller.
The first alternate spot went to amateur Justin Gums of the Junior Tour of Northern California (70). The second alternate is pro Jake Johnson (71).
