Bryson DeChambeau to Play in 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Bryson DeChambeau is headed to Pebble Beach for the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Officials for the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, the group that runs the AT&T, recently confirmed that DeChambeau has joined the field for next year’s tournament, slated for February 6-12 at the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The Clovis native, who was a member of the NCGA’s winning Morse Cup team at the 2015 Pacific Coast Amateur, wrapped up a PGA Tour card for the 2016-2017 season by winning the Web.com Tour Finals opening DAP Championship.
In four events thus far, he’s finished T-36 (Shriners Hospital for Children Open), T-66 (OHL Classic at Mayakoba) and has two missed cuts (Safeway Open, The RSM Classic).
Having risen to quick acclaim due in part to his unusual approach to golf, which includes using irons that are the same length, DeChambeau was low-amateur at this year’s Masters.
In 2015, DeChambeau finished sixth in the NCGA Player of the Year points standings due to his victory at that year’s U.S. Amateur.
Tickets for the 2017 AT&T Pro-Am, which include a new spectator area called The View, are now available.
