NCGA Mourns the Loss of Former Director Gary Curto
The NCGA mourns the loss of former director Gary Curto.
Curto, who was born in San Francisco, recently died at the age of 77 at his home in Santa Rosa.
Curto dedicated his entire life to public service. He joined the Army in 1956, then the reserves and starting in 1961 served as a fireman in Daly City and San Francisco. He retired from the S.F. Fire Dept. as a lieutenant after 38 years of service.
Having served for eight years as a member of the NCGA Board of Directors, Curto also was a regular volunteer Rules official for NCGA tournaments. His favorite events to work were those involving junior golfers.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Sat., March 19th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Star of the Valley Catholic Church, 495 White Oak Dr., Santa Rosa, CA 95409. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to support the NCGA junior golf program; Youth on Course, 3200 Lopez Rd., Pebble Beach, CA 93953 or at youthoncourse.org
