NCGA Mourns the Loss of Former Director Mark Murray
The NCGA mourns the loss of past director Mark Alan Murray.
Murray, who served on the NCGA Board of Directors in 2001, passed away Feb.10 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii at the age of 67.
A former resident of Walnut Creek, Murray co-founded Wong and Murray, Inc., an award-winning Bay Area public relations agency.
Previously, Mark had been a freelance radio network sports reporter, producer of Lon Simmons radio show on KSFO and sports news director at KMEL radio. A member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Murray was a former club champion at Diablo Country Club.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held Sunday, March 13 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, located at 2491 San Miguel Drive in Walnut Creek. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Wong Murray of Kailua-Kona; son, Marshall (Toni) Murray of Concord, CA; daughter, Mei-Ling (Graham Rees) Murray of San Francisco, CA; sister, Susan (Bruce) LaWall of Milton, FL; brother-in-law, Earl Caudell of Gulf Breeze, FL; cousins, nieces and nephews.
