A four-year old lawsuit brought by environmentalist groups to close Sharp Park has ended. A 3-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals dismissed the appeal in Wild Equity vs. City and County of San Francisco.

A year after competing in the U.S. Women’s Open, Lucy Li and Kathleen Scavo are headed to another USGA championship. The duo teamed up to earn a berth in the inaugural U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship.
The qualifier was held at Pasatiempo GC in Santa Cruz.

Northern California juniors Meghan Paracuelles and Megan Chou will tee it up at Augusta National on the Sunday before the Masters as part of the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals. Last year, Lucy Li of Redwood Shores won her age division.
After over a two month winter break, the highly successful Junior Tour of Northern California resumes play starting with its Spring Series. The 2014-2015 season will end with the JTNC Championship, to be held July 27-28 at Poppy Hills.
The annual San Francisco City Championship, first held in 1917, tees off this weekend. Former winners of the event include Ken Venturi, George Archer and Juli Inkster.
