A pair of pros punched their tickets to this year’s U.S. Women’s Open at CordeValle.
Former Kent State standout Taylor Kim, a pro out of Canada, was medalist at 142 and LPGA Tour member Julie Yang was second at 143 in Tuesday’s 36-hole Sectional qualifier at par-72 Green Valley Country Club.
Kim had back-to-back rounds of 71. Yang shot 72-71.
The first alternate spot went to Jisoo Keel at 144. The second alternate spot went to Monterey native Mina Harigae (144), who is also an LPGA Tour member.
