Danny Paniccia and Mike Stieler are no strangers to success when it comes to a Four-Ball format.
In both 2013 and 2014, the duo won the NCGA Four-Ball Championship.
Now, the two will have a shot at winning a USGA title. On Monday, Paniccia and Stieler punched their tickets to this year’s U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship by posting a co-medalist earning 5-under 67 in a qualifier held at Kings Country Club in Hanford.
The two shared medalist honors with the Southern California tandem of Mason Glinski and Jacob Johnson.
First alternate went to the SoCal duo of Steve Schiro and Wade Calmer (68) following a three-team playoff for two spots. The second alternate spot was taken by the tandem of Antioch’s Taylor Hobin and Kevin O’Brien of San Francisco.
This year’s U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be held May 21-25 at Winged Foot in New York.
