Former two-time NCGA Player of the Year Ben Geyer hasn’t had nearly the 2015 season he wanted to. But he’s showing signs that the tide is turning. This past weekend he finished T-2 on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada.
September 28, 2015 Ryan O’Donnell emerged as the champion of the annual Chico City Championship held at Bidwell Park GC. O’Donnell defeated Cole Chavez in the finals of the match play event. Semifinalists were Noah Norton and Chad Kimmelshue.

John Sirman, an influential and important NCGA board member in the 1990s, passed away August 21 at age 72.
With his win at the U.S. Amateur, Bryson DeChambeau joined Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ryan Moore as the only players to win the title and NCAA Championship in the same year. The last NorCal player to win the U.S. Amateur was Ricky Barnes in 2002.
