The Distinguished Service Award continues the long standing tradition of the Northern California Golf Association in recognizing deserving individuals from within the Northern California golf community. Past recipients of the award have modeled exemplary commitment to the advancement and preservation of the game of golf’s traditions and standards in Northern California through dedicated leadership in the Northern California Golf Association.
With the inauguration of the NCGA Hall of Fame honoring those who have given back to the game in Northern California, there has been a revision to the Distinguished Service Award (DSA). DSA nominees will be narrowed to those specifically involved in the Northern California Golf Association.
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Have given his or her time and talent in support of the game of golf
- Be recognized for their involvement in the preservation and advancement of golf through the Northern California Golf Association
Nominations are solicited from the general membership of the Association. The Hall of Fame/DSA Awards Committee will select the recipient with the NCGA Board ratifying their selection. The NCGA’s Distinguished Service Award for the year will be presented at the Hall of Fame banquet the following February.
