San Jose resident Justin Suh made it two in a row at the annual Santa Clara County Championship at San Jose Country Club.
Suh, who’s headed to USC in the fall, shot a final round 71 to finish at 203 and win by six strokes over runner-up Robert Salomon of Portola Valley. Suh, runner-up at last week’s CIF State Boys’ Championship, won the tournament with his early play. He’d shoot 67-65 in the first two rounds.
Salomon finished with a 66. Taking third place at 211 was Andrew Bonner of Ripon.
In the Senior Championship, Jim Knoll of Sunnyvale had a final round 74 to come in at 147 and defeat runner-up Steven Duffy by three. Knoll, a record four-time NCGA Senior Player of the Year, recently qualified for the U.S. Senior Open.
