2014 NCGA Player of the Year Trevor Clayton is feeling it right now.
Coming off a win at the San Jose City Championship, Clayton made it two in a row, capturing the annual California State Fair Amateur Championship on the MacKenzie Course at Haggin Oaks.
Following a sluggish opening round 73, Clayton put together rounds of 66 and 67 to finish regulation tied with Jooho Lee at 206. In what turned out to be a four-hole playoff, Clayton made birdie on every hole, eventually shaking off Lee to take the title.
Lee had rounds of 70-66-70.
Finishing tied for third at 208 were Cal teammates KK Limbhasut and Sebastian Crampton. Limbhasut went 67-68-73 while Crampton posted rounds of 71-68-69.
