Dairy Creek Golf Course went wire-to-wire for the victory.
Dairy Creek GC shot a final round 13-under 127 on Friday at par-70 Carmel Valley Ranch, winning the annual NCGA South Coast Zone Championship with a two-day score of 29-under 253. Taking second place was Corral de Tierra Country Club, which had a 127 to finish a stroke behind the winners.

Both Dairy Creek GC and Corral de Tierra earned berths into this year’s NCGA Zone Championship, slated for August 24-25 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
Dairy Creek GC, made up of teammates Greg Dzuba, David Quintel, Dan Miller and Chris Eppright, penciled in four eagles and five birdies to go with just one bogey. In Thursday’s opening round at par-71 Poppy Hills, they’d card five eagles and four birdies with zero bogeys.
Corral de Tierra, comprised of teammates Rick Bravo, Randy Meyenberg, Todd Knapp and Mitch Weisberger, carded five eagles and four birdies but also had two bogeys in the finale. The Corral de Tierra squad had started the day in a three-way tie for second place–just a stroke behind Dairy Creek–along with Rancho Canada GC and Pacific Grove GL.

Rancho Canada fell back to T-10 following a 137. Pacific Grove GL finished T-3 at 260 with Bayonet/Black Horse GC and King City GC.
The Bayonet/Black Horse squad had a final round 129, while King City GC shot 129.

Dairy Creek Golf Course is the team to chase after day one of the annual NCGA South Coast Zone Championship.
The Dairy Creek GC team posted a 16-under 126 Thursday at par-71 Poppy Hills Golf Course, taking a one shot lead over a trio of teams– Rancho Canada GC, Pacific Grove Golf Links and Corral de Tierra Country Club.
Dairy Creek GC, made up of teammates Greg Dzuba, David Quintel, Dan Miller and Chris Eppright, carded five eagles and four birdies to go with zero bogeys in a format that takes the two best net scores per hole of a four-man team.
Rancho Canada GC, comprised of teammates Mark Swenson, Dean Hoffman, Anthony Fisher and Jim Stout, had a 15-under 127 that included seven eagles and three birdies to go against a bogey a double-bogey. Pacific Grove GL, comprised of Kyle Burritt, Francisco Chavez, Richard Baloga and Gabriel Almader, posted three eagles and eight birdies to go with just one bogey.
Also coming in at 127 was Corral De Tierra CC, with the team of Rick Bravo, Randy Meyenberg, Todd Knapp and Mitch Weisberger carding three eagles and nine birdies to go with just one bogey.
In at 129, and just three off the lead, is Morro Bay GC. Four teams–King City GC, Bayonet/Black Horse GC, Monterey Pines GC and Aptos Seascape GC–are tied for sixth, just five off the lead at 131.
The two low teams following Friday’s second round will advance to this year’s NCGA Zone Championship, slated for August 24-25 at Poppy Hills GC and Spyglass Hill GC.
Friday’s second round will see play shift over to par-70 Carmel Valley Ranch.
