Madera Municipal Golf Course came storming back to take the title.
Madera Municipal GC, represented by teammates Frank Kerby and Eddie Williams, posted a spectacular 13-under 58 to come from three behind and win the 17th annual NCGA Senior Four-Ball Net Championship on Tuesday at par-71 Poppy Hills Golf Course.

Kerby and Williams, who have been great friends for over 25 years, were playing in the tournament for the first time in five years. The duo also won the title in 2010.
Coming off a first round 64, the duo went on a tear, carding four eagles and six eagles to go against just one bogey.
“I played good on the front nine and Eddie played good on the back-nine,” Kerby said.

San Leandro GC @Monarch Bay 2, who jumped into the lead Monday with an opening round 61, fell back to second place with a 66. The SLGC @ Monarch Bay 2 team–Doug Pepoon and Herb Clore–had eight birdies but also three bogeys.
Finishing in third place, and completing a great turnaround, was Crystal Springs GC’s Tom O’Connor and Dan Voreyer. A day after opening with a 69, the duo shot a 59 that included two eagles and 10 birdies to go against a pair of bogeys.

SLGC at Monarch Bay 2 is the team to chase after day one of the annual NCGA Senior Four-Ball Net Championship.
The SLGC at Monarch Bay 2 tandem of Douglas Pepoon and Herb Clore jumped to the top of the leaderboard on Monday, posting a 10-under 61 at Poppy Hills Golf Course. Pepoon and Clore penciled in an eagle and 10 birdies to go against just two bogeys.
In second place at 62 is Black Oak MC, made up of teammates John Lamb and Rick Beall. Lamb and Beall posted 10 birdies to go against just one bogey.
In a tie for third at 63 are Silverado CC 3 (David Carroll and Jack Hopkins) and Valley Hi CC (Bill Waltermeyer and Eric Goto). Three teams are just three shots back after opening with 64.
The final round will be held Tuesday at Poppy Hills.
