The San Jose City Championship became an duel between Aggies.
Nicolas Noya, a redshirt sophomore at UC Davis, and Patrick Soli, who’s headed to Davis, went back and forth in the final round before Noya pulled out a one stroke win.
Hosted by Santa Teresa GC, Noya had rounds of 65-70 to finish at 135. Soli had rounds of 67-69 for 136.
The low round of the event was posted by Trevor Clayton of Clovis, who had a second round 64 that featured nine birdies and two bogeys. The 64 tied a tournament record for low round set by Brent Booth during the 2011 championship.
In the Senior Championship, Salinas’ Steve Donnelly shot 150 (76-74) to come from seven behind and win.
