Santa Clara University sophomore Evan McLeod carded four birdies plus an eagle en route to a final round 5-under 67 to win the amateurgolf.com Monterey Bay Championship at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course by five shots over Daniel Griffiths.
McLeod, a former prep standout at Carmel High, finished the event at 4-under 140.
Griffiths, who resides in Redwood City, shot a final round 71 to finish at 145. Griffths was the only other player to break par.
JT Harper finished alone in third at 146 after rounds of 74-72.
In the Senior Championship, Richard Petit of Menlo Park shot 163 (83-80) to win by three over San Jose’s Gregory Sgarlato and Michael Donovan of Oakland.
The Net Championship ended in a card playoff won by Scott Vonderohe of Mountain View over Charles Balisha of Turlock. Both players posted a two day total of 148.
