June 20, 2014 Spots in the upcoming NCGA Junior Championship were at stake as a pair of qualifiers were held at Rancho Canada Golf Club and Shadown Lakes Golf Club. Over at Rancho Canada, Austin Eichinoff and James Trevino shared medalist honors in the Boys’ 16-18 division, with both coming in at 70. In the Boys’ 14-15 division, it was Thomas Hutchison and Bryce Losigan sharing top honors, as both came in with a 73. The Boys’ 13-under division saw Rajvir Bedi shoot a low 75, while in the Girls’ division, Kelsey Kawaguchi had the low round of the day, posting a 72. Over at Shadow Lakes, the Boys’ 16-18 division also saw a tie at the top for medalist honors, as both Brandon Wu and Kevin Velo posted matching 68’s. In the Boys’ 14-15 division, Charles Porter led the way with a 71, while in the Boys’ 13-under division both Michael Shaw and Drew Kim paced the field with 69’s. The Girls’ division qualifier saw Samantha Gong earn medalist honors with a 68. This year’s NCGA Junior Championship will tee off July 7-8 at Spyglass Hill.
