Getting into the upcoming NCGA Amateur Stroke Play Championship was the goal as qualifying for the championship was held at six different sites on Friday.
Over at par-72 Del Monte Golf Course, Olympic Club member Dash Lindsell and Saratoga Country Club member Robert Parden led the way with co-medalist rounds of 67. Overall, 38 players earned spots in the championship at the Del Monte qualifier.
At Mather GC, Youth on Course member Cody Riecks ended up taking medalist honors with a 64. Right behind Riecks was Cameron Park CC member Brian Knoll, who posted a 65. The Mather GC qualifier awarded 27 automatic spots.
In a qualifier at Paradise Valley GC, Brandon Wu of eClub East Bay took top honors, carding a 66. Also cracking 70 was Meadow Club member Matthew Seramin, who shot 69. The qualifier at Paradise Valley awarded 25 spots overall.
Over at Riverside GC, eClub Fresno member Trevor Clayton had the hot hand, carding a medalist earning 66. Both Michael Tolladay and Eric Condry also broke 70, shooting identical rounds of 69. The Riverside qualifier saw 10 players advance.
In Antioch, a qualifier held at Roddy Ranch GC saw Brent Holmes of eClub San Francisco and amateurgolf.com member Mac Marr share medalist honors with scores of 68. The Roddy Ranch qualifier awarded 21 spots.
Another qualifier held at San Juan Oaks GC in Hollister saw Kory Storer and Bradley Know share medalist honors with identical rounds of 68. A total of 18 spots were on the line at San Juan Oaks.
This year’s NCGA Amateur Stroke Play Championship will be held July 11-13 at the newly re-opened Poppy Hills Golf Course.
