CONCORD – Jonathan De Los Reyes continued his impressive play by winning his second tournament in the East Bay in a two-week span. Having won the Antioch City Championship the weekend before Labor Day, the rising sophomore at St. Mary’s College won the Concord City Championship the weekend after Labor Day by four strokes. The 19-year-old put together a 36-hole score of 5-under-par 137, with Peyton Smith of Atherton being his closest competition finishing second at 1-under 141. Tied for third place at even-par 142 were Mike O’Brien and Taylor Hobin, while tied for fifth place were Shintaro Ban and Dominic DeBellis at 2-over-par 144.
In the senior division, Livermore’s John Avila took a one-stroke victory with a 36-hole score of 6-over-par 148. Avila edged out second place finisher Charles Beesley at 7-over-par 149 and third place finisher David Lozow at 9-over-par 151. In fourth place was Mark Miller at 11-over-par 153, while in fifth place was Wayne Bass at 15-over-par 157.
