ANTIOCH – A playoff was needed to decide the senior division of the East County Championship. Scott Anderson and Terry Foreman, 2012 Staedler-Jetter Cup partners, squared off in a sudden-death playoff at the end of 36 holes as both players were tied with a score of 144, even-par. When it was over, Anderson claimed top prize, while Foreman finished as runner-up. Mark Miller, Bob Schoenherr and Herb Jensen finished in a three-way tie for third place at 146, two-over-par.
In the mid-am and master division 54-year-old Steve Wilson earned a two-stroke victory firing a 36-hole total of 139, five-under-par. Alone in second place was 52-year-old Jamie Looper posting a 141, three-under-par. Mid-amateur Taylor Hobin finished in third place at 144, even-par, while 42-year-old Dominic DeBellis finished at 145, one-over-par for fourth place. Rounding out the top five and tying for fifth at 146, two-over-par was Michael O’Brien and John Rotteveel.
