SACRAMENTO – Jeff Hoffman of Folsom won his third individual tournament of the 2012 points season, with a victory in the 2012 California State Fair Masters Golf Championship at Bing Maloney GC. Hoffman needed to beat out Wes Leith of Davis and Oakdale’s Jamie Looper in a sudden-death playoff in order to do so as all three players finished at a 54-hole total of 211, five-under par. While Leith and Looper tied for second, Chris Johnson of Rancho Cordova took fourth place with a score of 214, two-under par.
Tied for fifth were Ken Crawford of Elk Grove and Dominic DeBellis of Brentwood at 215, one-under par. Finishing at even-par, 216 were Russell Humphrey of Lodi and Brian Swenson of Pleasanton, while Pat Henry finished one-shot back at 217, one-over par, good enough for solo ninth place. Rounding out the top 10 were Howard Harris, Dan Corfee and Ray Hale, who finished in a tie for 10th at 218, two-over par.
