PLEASANTON – Matt Cohn of San Francisco won his second tournament of the 2012 points season with three-stroke margin of victory at the Pleasanton City Amateur. Cohn fired a 36-hole score of 141 with rounds of 69 and 72 to earn the top spot. Jerry Ledzinski of Carmel finished alone in second at 144, after back-to-back rounds of even-par 72. Peyton Smith took third place with a 146 total consisting of rounds of 71 and 75, while Mark Wyllie grabbed fourth place with a 147 total. Tied for fifth were Cody Robinson and Drew Bender who each finished at 149.
San Francisco resident Ron Wiley won the senior division with a 36-hole score of 147. Wiley was bolstered by his first round score of 71, allowing him to cruise to a 76 in the final round. His play was six shots better than Bob Schoenherr who finished at 153. Ken Noonan earned third place with matching 77s to finish at 154. Jay Guerin finished fourth with a 155 total, while defending champion Ray Kong finished in fifth place at 157.
