ROSEVILLE – Folsom’s Jeff Hoffman posted a two-day total of 4-under par, 138, to win the Roseville City Amateur at Diamond Oaks GC. Hoffman took a one shot lead going into the final day after posting first round score of 4-under, 67. In second place was Blake Abercrombie of Rocklin, who finished at a level par score of 142. Abercrombie posted the lowest final round score of the 44 championship players with a 1-under 70. Alone in third place was Ray Hale of Roseville at 1-over 143. Rounding out the top five were Chico’s Steven Christophel and Tanner Makimoto of Roseville, who finished in a tie for fourth at 2-over, 144.
Tom Marks of Carmichael won the senior division with a 36-hole score of 140. His consistent back-to-back rounds of 70 paid off as he leapfrogged first round leader Wade Nonnenberg of Rocklin. Nonnenberg posted a first round score of 69 to take a one-shot lead, but followed that with a 72 to finish at 141. Bob Fleming finished alone in third another shot back at 142, scoring a 71 both days.
