Quinn’s Brigade Raises $255,000 for Youth on Course

One could easily hear the cheers for Jordan Spieth and Jason Day that rang through Pebble Beach Golf Links during Saturday’s third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

There too, however, were the roars that emanated from Quinn’s Brigade, especially when the guy everyone was following sank a birdie putt on the historic par-3 17th hole.

After two days of weather delays, 2017 NCGA President Pat Quinn and his pro partner, Tom Hoge, got their turn at Pebble Beach for Saturday’s third round. Quinn, and his throng of followers–the aforementioned Quinn’s Brigade–made the moment even sweeter.

Over 300 members of the Brigade were there, propelling Quinn along with shouts of encouragement and an army of Quinn ‘Patheads’ that seemed as endless as the blue sky above.

“It’s incredible,” said an elated Quinn. “It’s awesome.”

It certainly was, and it was even more awesome for a ton of kids who weren’t even there.

A longtime Youth on Course Board member, Quinn took his playing appearance in the Pro-Am further by using the moment to help raise funds for Youth on Course– the nationally acclaimed, non-profit that provides youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf.

Prior to Saturday’s main event, Quinn took pledges (remember Walk-a-Thons?) with all of the proceeds benefitting Youth on Course.

So how did it go? Well, by the time finished his third round, Quinn’s Brigade had raised over $255,000 for Youth on Course.

Awesome, indeed.
