Rocklin resident Lynne Cowan and four others are headed to this year’s U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.

Cowan punched her ticket after earning medalist honors with a 3-over 76 in an 18-hole qualifier held at San Luis Obispo Country Club on Monday.

Cowan won this year’s NCGA Women’s Senior Amateur Championship and also won the California Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Poppy Hills Golf Course. She is a multiple winner of the California Women’s Amateur Championship.

Also earning trips were Kelly Wilson of Cameron Park and Pat Cornett of Mill Valley, who both came in at 77. Cornett was captain of the 2012 USA Curtis Cup squad.

The other two players advancing through the qualifier were Renata Young of Walnut Creek (78) and Julia Puscheck of Pismo Beach (79).

This year’s U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship will be held Sept. 6-11 at Harbour Trees GC in Indiana.
