FRESNO – After three days of golf and two days of match play Nick Sorensen and Brandon Stites were crowned San Joaquin Valley Four-Ball Match Play champions. Sorensen and Stites beat Todd Barsotti and Joe Pechota in the final match 4-and-3.

In order to pull out the victory Stites and Sorensen had to get past Ian Stogdell and Bill Storey in the quarterfinals 5-and-3, and tournament medalists Danny Paniccia and Mike Stieler 3-and-2 in the semifinals. Barsotti and Pechota’s road to the final match included two 1-up victories, the first coming against TJ Masters and Jacob Ruffino in the quarterfinals and the subsequent one coming in the semifinals against Chris Cuttone and Matt Fagundes.
