Cotton & Bob’s Championship Four-Ball

SALINAS – Senior players Casey Boyns and Neil Duffy were no match for their fellow-competitors at Salinas Fairways GC’s Cotton & Bob’s Classic. The duo teamed up for the two-day event over Memorial Day weekend, winning the four-ball format with a score of 134, eight-under par. Winning wasn’t all that easy however as Boyns and Duffy beat two teams in a sudden-death playoff, Andrew Rodriguez and Andrew Moore, and Louie Garcia and Brad Slama, who also finished 36 holes at 134, eight-under par.

Alone in fourth place at 135, seven-under par was the team of Sergio Rios and Sunil Datt. Tied for fifth place at 136, six-under par, were Donel Geisen and Terry Ackerman, and Kimble Cater and Caleb Cater. In a tie for seventh at 137, five-under par were the teams of Gil Palma and Chad Brownfield, and Steve Donnelly and Ray Kong. Rounding out the top 10 in a tie for ninth place at 138, four-under par were Josh Schmidt and Mike Maricle, and Alfredo Ortiz and Bryan Rodriguez.
