MONTEREY – Jim Knoll continued his already stellar year with another victory at the Monterey City Senior Amateur. The victory is his sixth win for the 2012 points season as he continues to hold a fairly comfortable lead of nearly 300 points on the Senior Player of the Year list. Knoll fired a 36-hole score of 139 to take top honors, four strokes better than his nearest competitor, Mark Miller of Antioch. Miller posted a solid score of 143 to finish isolated in second. Three strokes back at 146 were Dale Bouguennec, Steve Donnelly and Bob Rowland to tie for third place. Casey Boyns, currently Knollā€™s biggest threat in the Senior Player of the Year race, finished tied for sixth with Herb Jensen at 147. Rich Gleghorn finished alone in eighth at 150, while Peter Moren and Neil Duffy tied for ninth at 151 to round out the top 10.
