U.S. Amateur Public Links Qualifying

SACRAMENTO – Vacaville’s Ted Moehrke and Elk Grove’s Andrej Bevins were the last two standing after 36 holes of U.S. Amateur Public Links Qualifying at Haggin Oaks GC. Moerke posted the low round of the event with a 36-hole score of 142, 2-under par edging out Bevins who finished at 143, 1-under par. Finishing in third respectively and earning the first alternate spot was Fairfield’s Barry Logar, who posted a two-day total of 145. Ricky Desantis of San Marcos beat out Auburn’s Derek Zachman and Redding’s Mitchell Card for the second alternate spot as all three competitors finished at 146, 2-over par.

Bevins and Moehrke’s next stop will be Midway, Utah where they will compete in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Soldier Hollow GC, July 9-14.
