SEASIDE – Robert Salomon of Portola Valley earned his second victory of the 2012 points season with a win at’s Monterey Bay Championship. Salomon beat Jered Stone of Tarzana on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the event after the two finished at a 36-hole total of 150, 6-over par. Salomon closed very well as he followed his first round 78 with an even-par 72 to make the playoff, while Stone posted back-to-back 75s. Coming in at third place one shot shy of qualifying for the playoff was 17 year-old Michael Decker, who posted rounds of 79 and 72 for a 151 aggregate. Rounding out the top five in a tie for fourth place were Dylan Jackson and Steven Warne at 8-over par 152.

The event which traditionally holds a senior division was cancelled due to lack of participation.
