Welcome to the 96th California Golf Association Net Amateur Match Play Championship.  Enclosed please find your Flight assignment.  You will play both Monday and Tuesday.  Those who lose their first match will be placed in consolation flights.  Check with the Committee each day for your next day starting time.  This is extremely important, because the consolation flights will immediately follow the winner’s bracket of each flight.

 

TEE MARKERS: Men will play from the WHITE tees and women from the RED tees.

 

FLIGHTS:  The April 1 index was used for flight and pairing assignments.  The championship will be played using the June 1 index.  Original flight and pairing assignments will NOT be changed.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Contestants only.  Practice rounds are limited to Sunday, June 17th after 8 AM.  Please call Bayonet Golf Course at (831) 899-7271 to schedule a starting time.  Green fees:  $105 including mandatory cart from 8 AM to 12 PM and $87 after 12 PM.   Cart fee (optional after 12 PM):  $18 per player.

 

FOOTWEAR:  Shoes with traditionally designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited.

Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.

 

DRESS CODE:  Players must be properly attired both on the course and in public rooms.  Blue jeans, including designer jeans, T-shirts or tank tops are prohibited.  Tailored dress shorts are permitted.  Penalty for breach of this condition:  DISQUALIFICATION.

 

GOLF SHOP & RANGE:  The golf shop and practice range will open at 5:30 AM

 

FOOD SERVICE:  The restaurant will open at 5:30 AM.

 

GATE ENTRANCE:  For gate clearance into the Del Monte Forest, please state that you are a contestant in the CGA tournament to the Pebble Beach Security personnel upon arrival at any gate to 17-Mile Drive.

 

WITHDRAWALS:  Players withdrawing from the competition must contact their golf association. NCGA members: (831) 625-4653; SCGA members:  (818) 980-3630.  Requests for refunds received through May 25, 2007 will be honored (less a $50 administrative fee) for contestants withdrawing from the competition.  Requests for refunds from contestants withdrawing after May 25th will not be honored.
